The day and night camel trek in the Merzouga Sahara desert starts around 10:00 a.m., and the camel guide will take you to the golden and undulating sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Travel through this landscape on the back of a camel, a method of transport across the Sahara that dates back thousands of years, feel the tranquillity of this timeless area as you trek through the dunes to the desert camp. The camel ride usually takes a couple of hours, once you get there, you can relax and have a cup of tea while a delicious lunch is prepared by our staff at the camp. This camel trek to Merzouga is an opportunity to experience how simple and primitive things are enough for nomads.

After a good lunch, you may want to climb the big sand dunes to experience a sandboarding activity, an activity that has become one of the famous activities in the Merzouga desert and Erg Chebbi dunes. In addition, this is a great opportunity to enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets and take beautiful photographs. It is a truly breathtaking view as the sun’s rays play with the sand dunes changing color to orange as the intensity of the rays diminishes before nightfall, marking the end of an exciting day full of adventure and fun. A date with a starry sky, before that, dinner will be served in the camp. Then, there will be a musical party; Berbers drum around the campfire in full vibration of entertainment and fun before spending an unforgettable night in a private tent (in your convenient type of tent) in the desert camp.
