3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech itinerary:

  • Day 1: Travel from Fes to Merzouga desert via Ifrane, Midelt, and Atlas mountains:

Your 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech will start by exploring the green mountains of the Middle Atlas and visiting Ifran the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we will continue our journey to Midelt through the cedar forest where you will have the opportunity to feed the Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat. We will then continue to photograph the beautiful Ziz valley of palm trees enclosed between the high Atlas Mountains.

In the early afternoon, get ready and be accompanied by a camel guide for an authentic camel ride experience of about 90 minutes where you can watch the sunset in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend a memorable night with millions of shining stars, enjoy a Berber dinner, a drumming party and sleep in a traditional nomad tent.

  • Day 2: Merzouga Desert to Dades Valley via Rissani, Erfoud, and Todra Gorges:

“Appointment with the sunrise” If you are in the middle of the desert, it is essential to get up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you have ever seen on top of a high dune near the camp and enjoy this landscape that is a gift of nature, then we return to Merzouga on camels where a heartwarming breakfast awaits us. We leave the desert after breakfast to Rissani, where we will visit the market (market days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), then continue to Erfoud, where we can visit the fossilized marble manufacturers before starting our way to the palm of Touroug and Tinjdad. groves An hour later we arrive at one of the best places in the High Atlas, the Todra Gorges. The course of the river has carved the canyon of the cliff and is very popular with climbers because of its beauty and the high sides of the rocks. Free time for lunch in this wonderful place. A walk through the gorges is highly recommended to better appreciate the beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon we continue to the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs passing through Boumalne Dades, we will stop at the “monkey’s paws”. Dinner and overnight in the Dades Gorges.

  • Day 3: From Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, and High Atlas mountains:

After breakfast, we can enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley from a strategic viewpoint in the mountains, from there we can appreciate a large number of kasbahs and the scenic features of each. Then we continue along with a road point with different kasbahs of tourist interest. After a few stops to enjoy the “road of a thousand kasbahs”. In the Valley of the Roses and the great palm grove of Skoura, we will arrive in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. And if you are interested, we can visit the film studios and the cinema museum. Half an hour from Ouarzazate, we will stop at the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous movies have been filmed on this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penelope Cruz … etc… Free time for lunch in the city. In the afternoon we start our way to Marrakech passing through the mountain pass of Tizi Ntichka with some stops to take pictures. Here we leave behind the lunar landscape to reach another colorful view. Arrive in Marrakech around 6 p.m., transfer to the hotel, and end our services.

Fes To Marrakech 3-Days Morocco Sahara Desert Tour

We visited intriguing areas and met interesting people who explained us about Moroccan culture during our three-day journey to the Sahara.
This trip was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had.
Lhoucine is an excellent tour guide, and we felt protected in his car for the entire three days we were with him. He made stops in the mountains, villages, and the desert for us to explore. Lhoucine was incredibly lovely and made us all feel welcome and at ease.
The Sahara journey was incredible, and the camp experience is one I will never forget.
If you want to have an authentic Moroccan experience in the desert, I highly recommend Desert Merzouga Tours!

Great tour from Fes to Marrakech passing by Sahara

This trip was excellent! We went to fantastic places with wonderful people and tour leaders. They’re all extremely friendly and welcoming.

Excellent trip! It was a lot of fun and well-organized. The areas we visited (the high Atlas Mountains, Ksar Ait-Ben-Haddou, and the Todgha Gorges) were breathtaking and fascinating.

The Sahara experience was incredible, complete with a camel ride, sunset, and starry night sky.

I would suggest this company to anyone visiting Morocco because it is dependable, reasonably priced, and safe.

3 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert and atlas mountains

One of the most gorgeous experiences I’ve ever had was a three-day, two-night excursion to the desert. The voyage was long, but time flew by with such beautiful scenery all around you: villages, mountains, and oasis.
Our driver, Hamid, was fantastic and really professional. Throughout our journey, we felt at ease and secure. Hamid knew a lot about Moroccan history and spoke excellent English.
I had a fantastic experience with this firm. I am overjoyed that the organization reacted quickly to my questions and concerns via email. Throughout the tour, we felt very protected and at ease.
Do not delay in booking with Desert Merzouga Tours.
